Evaluations – Tryouts

The Selects FC City Wide and Tier 1, 2, and 3 players in the U8-U19 age categories go through an ‘evaluation’ process.  It is designed to evaluate player’s skills and abilities to ensure that players are placed on teams with player of similar skills and abilities.

Evaluations involve the written assessment of players by their coaches in previous seasons, as well as a physical test of the players’ current skills. Evaluations are held prior to the start of the season.

The following evaluations are mandatory:

U8 & U9 – All City Wide Players

U10 & U11 – All Players Tier 1, 2, & 3

U13 – All Players Tier 1, 2, & 3

U15 – All Players Tier 1, 2, & 3

U17 – All Players Tier 1, 2, & 3

U19 – All Players Tier 1, 2, & 3

Evaluations will be held indoors so please dress appropriately – shorts and a T-shirt are ideal and shin pads are mandatory. No “Select” or club clothing is allowed. Only CLEAN running shoes or indoor soccer shoes may be worn for evaluations, outdoor cleats may NOT be worn on the Indoor Soccer fields.
