Selects FC Premier Club Teams
2025 Outdoor Program Guide
We are proud to be able to provide soccer programs for all ages and skill levels including our Premier Club teams. Premier Club teams are age-appropriate and skill level at the Tier 1,2 & 3 level.
- You MUST be registered for Indoor Soccer in the portal, to participate in the player placement. NO WALK ONS. Registration is required for insurance for the player and the coach and also provides contact/email information before and after evaluations.
HOW TO REGISTER FOR CLUB OUTDOOR SOCCER:
- Register with our governing body HERE (click OTHER as payment option)
- The portal is how you sign up for tryouts. (There is not a separate registration specifically for tryouts.)
- After tryouts, IF you are selected for a team, you will be sent information on how to complete registration and payment for the outdoor season.
Payments for Premier Club Teams are due immediately after you are notified of being placed on a Premier Club Team. If you pay the community fee your fees will be adjusted to pay the difference and community fee will go towards your club fees.

What does the Selects FC program offer?
The Selects FC program, part of the EMSA South Premier Club soccer system, offers a high-performance soccer development pathway for youth players. Here’s a detailed breakdown of what the program provides:
⚽ Program Highlights
- Higher Level of Competition: Players compete in Tier 1, 2, and 3 city-wide leagues, including matches against other club teams from Edmonton, Sherwood Park, and St. Albert.
- Pathway to Provincials & Nationals: Teams have the opportunity to qualify for Provincial and National competitions.
- Singular Birth Year Teams: From U8 to U12, players are grouped by single birth years to ensure fair competition and focused development.
📚 Player Development
- Certified Technical Training:
- Delivered by Selects FC Technical Staff.
- Follows a curriculum-based schedule focusing on:
- Individual skills
- Tactical awareness and style of play
- 1 Coach-Led Session per Week
- Training Facilities:
- Turf fields at TTC4 and South Soccer Center
- No gym training
👨🏫 Coaching & Support
- Experienced Coaches: All teams are led by knowledgeable and experienced coaches.
- Coach Resources:
- Access to session plans, instructional videos, and technical director support via selectsfc.com

🕒 Commitment
- Greater financial and time commitment than community league soccer
- Designed for families and players seeking elite-level development and competition
Expectations of Players/Families
- COMMITMENT to attend ALL practices, technical sessions, and games.
- Each registered player will be expected to have 1 parent/guardian volunteer for a total of 4 hours – 1 time per season.
- Abide by the standards set forth by the club and the EMSA parent/player code of conduct
- Individual teams may be required to fundraise for the club.

An invite is not required, but registration (in the portal) is a MUST
All players should check in 15 minutes early for the first tryout.

When registering in the portal you need to select Premier/Club when you are selecting your division in Step 2.
Registration fees are payable upon making a Club team through TeamSnap.
The Outdoor 2025 season tentative start date is May 1st.
