EMSA South organizes soccer for the following Communities:
The EMSA South Zone consists of the Mill Woods Communities: Burnewood, Knottwood, Lakewood, Leefield, Millhurst, North Millbourne, Ridgewood, Southwood, Woodvale, The Meadows, Fulton Meadows, Laurel, Ellerslie, Horizon (Summerside) the City of Beaumont, the South East communities: Argyll, Avonmore, Bonnie Doon, Capilano (Hardisty), Cloverdale, Forest/Terrace Heights, Fulton Place (Hardisty), Gold Bar (Hardisty), Hazeldean, Holyrood, Idlywylde, Kenilworth, King Edward Park, Ottewell, Ritchie, Riverdale, Rossdale Strathcona, Strathearn and Twin Parks for Community soccer programs and 1 Club program, the Selects FC.
Edmonton Residents are required to have a 2024-25 Community Membership to register. www.efcl.org
Register for Outdoor till March 14th.
Registration will be accepted online from February 1st to March 14th. If you are registering after March 14th, you will be placed on our waiting list and we will contact you as soon as we are able to place your player. We aim to place all players as long as we have teams and coaches!
Rosters will be released towards the end of April. Parents will receive a TeamSnap invite.
Schedules will be posted on our website on April 28 at 5:00pm
Game times for each age group will vary on their designated day. You do not have the option to choose the time your athlete plays.
The season begins on May 1, 2025 (weather permitting) and runs until the last week of June.
(NOTE: Teams playing on Monday will play Victoria Day (weather permitting))

HOW TO REGISTER FOR COMMUNITY OUTDOOR SOCCER:
STEP 1: COMPLETE THE EMSA SOCCER PORTAL REGISTRATION
Registration will be accepted online from February 1, 2025 to March 14, 2025.

- Update all contact details before registering any players
- Add/Register your player(s) and/or team officials.

All players and team officials require a separate registration
Note for Club/Premier players – if you are interested in trying out for a Club/Premier program, please indicate so in the online registration.
IMPORTANT: After you’ve successfully submitted your athlete(s) registration through the EMSA Soccer Portal, you’ll receive a Player Registration Confirmation email from the EMSA Soccer Portal (be sure to check your junk/spam folder). This email will include a payment link via TeamSnap for U4-U19 athletes. If you do not receive the payment link within 24 hours, please email admin@emsasouth.com with the player’s first and last name.
STEP 2: REGISTER ONLINE THROUGH TEAMSNAP
The payment link for TeamSnap will be in the Player Registration Confirmation email from the EMSA Soccer Portal (be sure to check your junk/spam folder)

- NOTE: You will need to click on the registration link again after creating your account

2. Add/Register your player(s)
- Ensure the player information is correct prior to registering
STEP 3: PAYMENT
Please note: Your registration won’t be finalized until payment is received. The deadline to submit payment is March 14, 2025.
How to Pay:
1. Online – Use Visa or MasterCard at the final step of TeamSnap registration. Parents have the option to pay in installments: pay 50% upfront and the rest in a month. The second installment will be automatically charged to the same card.
2. Offline – Choose ‘pay offline’ at the final step of TeamSnap registration and you can pay in the office Tuesday to Thursday Noon to 4pm.
3. Funding

- KidSport:
KidSport will provide funding for qualified applicants up to $250 per calendar year (January 2025 – December 2025). You can apply for assistance through TeamSnap when submitting your registration online. Please ensure you have your financial information available to upload (2023 Canada Child Benefit Notice).
- KidSport:
Please note: If you’re applying for financial assistance through KidSport, you must pay your registration fees in full before the deadline to secure your athlete’s spot on a team. After the office receives the funding, any overpaid fees will be refunded to the parent.
HOW TO REGISTER FOR CLUB OUTDOOR SOCCER:
- Register with our governing body HERE (click OTHER as payment option)
- Once step 1 is completed you will get instructions in your Registration Summary email on how to complete the last step and payment on TeamSnap.
- After tryouts, IF you are selected for a team, you will be sent and invoice or a refund depending on the fees you paid and the club fees that are due. CLICK HERE for tryout dates/times.

Field Etiquette for Players and Spectators
- Clean up after yourselves and keep fields clean and safe
- Drinking alcohol, urinating on the field, and littering are all prohibited on City fields (City of Edmonton Bylaw)
- Fields are closed periodically for maintenance or rest periods, which can prevent longer closures later. Rejuvenation periods allow the soil and grass to regenerate without the strain of constant use. Signs are posted on closed fields; please respect these closures (City of Edmonton Bylaw)
- Home & Away spectators must sit on opposite ends of the field. No one can sit behind the net.
- No pets are allowed on the field area (City of Edmonton Bylaw)
- No smoking/vaping is allowed on the field area (City of Edmonton Bylaw)
- Park only in areas where signs indicate parking is permitted
- Supervision of minors is always required by their parents or guardians
