Selects FC Premier Club Teams

We are proud to be able to provide soccer programs for all ages and skill levels including our Premier Club teams. Premier Club teams are age-appropriate and skill level at the Tier 1,2 & 3 level.

  • You MUST be registered for Indoor Soccer in the portal, to participate in the player placement. NO WALK ONS.  Registration is required for insurance for the player and the coach and also provides contact/email information before and after evaluations.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR CLUB OUTDOOR SOCCER:

  1. Register with our governing body HERE (indicate in the registration that you are interested in club – click OTHER as payment option)
  2. The portal is how you sign up for tryouts.
  3. After tryouts, IF you are selected for a team, you will be sent information on how to complete registration and payment for the outdoor season.
ALL Players MUST BE registered prior to Tryouts in the portal.

Payments for Premier Club Teams are due immediately after you are notified of being placed on a Premier Club Team.

What does the Selects FC program offer?

EMSA Premier Club soccer is more expensive to operate than the community league program. Parents should anticipate a greater financial and time commitment. Players will enjoy a higher level of competition, playing against players of similar caliber. Our teams compete at the Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 level to advance to Provincial & National competitions.

EMSA South – Selects FC

  • Selects FC teams play in singular birth years until U13 to promote development.

U8, U9, U10, U11 & U12.

Player won’t have to play against players that are a year old than they are like in community.

  • Selects FC teams enjoy, Technical training sessions.

These sessions will be delivered by a certified Selects FC Technical staff member.

Their technical schedule is curriculum-based which includes:

Pure individual skill & tactical.

Tactical promotes a style of play.

1 coach led session per week.

  • Selects FC teams train on turf @ TTC4 & at the south soccer center in the indoor season.

They do not train in gyms.

  • Selects FC teams are coached by knowledgeable & experienced coaches.
  • Selects FC team officials are supported through the resource section on selectsfc.com

They receive support through session plans, videos for how to support their players & Selects FC Technical Directors.

Selects FC teams play in tiers 1,2 & 3 city wide against other club teams throughout the city, Sherwood park & St. Albert.

Expectations of Players/Families

  • COMMITMENT to attend ALL practices, technical sessions, and games.
  • Each registered player will be expected to have 1 parent/guardian volunteer for a total of 4 hours 1 time per season.
  • Abide by the standards set forth by the club and the EMSA parent/player code of conduct
  • Individual teams may be required to fundraise for the club.

    Outdoor Selects Evaluation dates and times TBA Feb 4th.

    ALL PLAYERS ARE WELCOME!

    An invite is not required, but registration (in the portal) is a MUST
    All players should check in 15 minutes early for the first tryout.
    All evaluations are indoors.  Please bring appropriate indoor footwear.  Shin pads are mandatory.

    When registering in the portal you need to select Premier/Club when you are selecting your division in Step 2.

    Registration fees are payable upon making a Club team through TeamSnap.

    The Outdoor 2025 season tentative start date is May 1st weather permitting
