How To Register for Indoor Soccer

STEP 1: COMMUNITY LEAGUE MEMBERSHIP

  • You will need a valid, current Community Membership to register.
    (You will not get past Step 1 of registration).
  • If you have already purchased one you will require the membership #.

STEP 2: REGISTER ONLINE AT EMSASOCCERPORTAL.COM

The EMSA Soccer Portal registration form will open for 2024/25 Indoor registration on August 1, 2024 

  1. Log in or create an account on the emsasoccerportal.com
    • Forgot password? Use the forgot password feature.
    • Update all contact details before registering any players
  2. Add/ Register your player(s) and/ or team officials.
  3. All players and team officials require a separate registration

Note for people who have moved to a new address: please contact the EMSA South office admin@emsasouth.com before registering so we can update your address and community information on your account.

Note for Club/Premier players – if you are interested in trying out for a Club/Premier program, please indicate so in the online registration.  It is the family’s responsibility to check the website for the Try Out Schedule.  To hold a spot on a community team pending tryout results, the player registration (fees/deposit/supporting documents) must be completed.  If the athlete’s tryout with Selects FC is successful, registration fees will be transferred to the club, and the parent will only need to pay the remaining balance.

IMPORTANT: After you’ve successfully submitted your athlete(s) registration through the EMSA Soccer Portal, you’ll receive a Player Registration Confirmation email from the EMSA Soccer Portal (be sure to check your junk/spam folder). This email will include a payment link via TeamSnap for athletes. If you do not receive the payment link within 24 hours, please email office@emsasouth.com with the player’s first and last name.

STEP 3: REGISTER ONLINE THROUGH TEAMSNAP

The TeamSnap registration form will open for 2024/25 Indoor registration on August 1, 2024 and will remain open until September 4, 2024.

Items you will need to provide when you receive the TeamSnap Link are:

  • Player proof of age
  • Player photo (if EMSA ID card is required)
  • Volunteer Deposit – credit card deposit form only
  • Registration payment – due now (community)
  1. After clicking on the payment link in the Player Registration Confirmation email from the EMSA Soccer Portal, log-in or create an account on TeamSnap
    • Need to create an account? Use the “Sign Up” feature
      NOTE: You will need to click on the registration link again after creating your account
    • Forgot password? Use the “forgot password” feature
      NOTE: You will need to click on the registration link again after resetting your password) 
    • Ensure the player information is correct prior to registering.
  2. Add/Register your player(s)
  3. All players require a separate registration

STEP 4: PAYMENT

Please note: The registration is not finalized until payment has been received.  The deadline to submit payment is September 4th, 2024.  After September 4th, you will ONLY pay if we can find a spot for your player(s).

How to Pay:

  • In Step 7 of the EMSA Soccer Portal registration, please choose “OTHER” as your payment option.
  • After you’ve successfully submitted your athlete(s) registration through the EMSA Soccer Portal, you’ll receive a Player Registration Confirmation email from the EMSA Soccer Portal (be sure to check your junk/spam folder).
    • This email will include a payment link via TeamSnap for U4-U19 athletes. If you do not receive the payment link within 24 hours, please email office@emsasouth.com with the player’s first and last name.

1. Online – You can use Visa/ MasterCard or Debit at the final step of your TeamSnap registration.  Parents have the option to pay in installments: The installments will be automatically charged to the card used for the first installment, so you won’t need to re-enter your payment information.

2. In-person – At the final step of your TeamSnap registration, choose “pay offline” for in person payments please go to our office during our business hours to pay with cash, cheque or card.

Tuesday – Thursday between 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

3. Funding 

  • KidSport:
    Kidsport will provide funding for qualified applicants up to $250 per calendar year (January – December).You can apply for assistance online when submitting your registration with EMSA South online, please ensure you have your financial information available to upload.
  • Jumpstart:
    Jumpstart offers eligible children up to $300/application
    It is recommended that you apply early to avoid any applications that cannot be processed due to Jumpstart running out of funding because of high demand. You can only apply online on the Jumpstart website. https://jumpstart.canadiantire.ca/pages/individual-child-grants

    1. Registration on the EMSA Soccer Portal is MANDATORY.

Spectator Admission Fees

  • Spectator admission fees are in effect at the Edmonton Soccer Centers. Between August 26 – September 15, ESAF is offering Early Bird pricing on admission passes – 1 pass = $47 and 2 passes = $67. Both passes must be purchased at the same time as they will not offer the discount if the second pass is purchased later. Please visit esaf.ca for more information

* U5 & U7 Parent Facilitators will require an I.D. card only to gain admission to the Edmonton Soccer Centers. The I.D. cards are not needed for game play.

Helpful hints:

    • When I visit the site is says “unauthorized” or “error checking roles” what do I do? Use the sign-out button at the top of the portal to reset your browser and simply log back in.
    • When completing the registration form on line, enter as much information as possible for friend & Coach requests.  Last names are a big help!  Remember, our Age Level Directors will do their best to accommodate your requests, but they cannot be guaranteed.
    • Consider volunteering as a Coach or Assistant Coach.
    • In order for the registration to be completed, you have to scroll through the whole waiver before checking off.
    • If you made an error on the registration form, not a problem.  Contact our office via email office@emsasouth.com fees to other Clubs or community programs outside of our zone are not transferable, if you are requesting a transfer please do not pay online.
    • What equipment is needed for Indoor soccer? It is mandatory for all players to have shin pads, socks, and shorts (black). Regular running shoes or indoor turf shoes(U9 and up).   A jersey will be provided by the coach.  U9-U19 community players will require a $100 jersey deposit which is provided in the TeamSnap registration.

  • Practices for U7+ are scheduled at the discretion of the coach.
